This monogrammed metal tin originally held elastic pony tail holders. Since Alexa has outgrown the cute design on these hair accessories, I decided to repurpose and upcycle the tin.
I used my paper trimmer to cut a Little Yellow Bicycle Naturals canvas border (package pictured above) to size — one piece to fit the bottom portion of the tin and a thinner strip to go around the lid. The borders are adhesive so the strips stuck easily to the tin, no extra adhesive needed.
Here's a look at a Naturals flower atop the lid. I'm thinking I'll fill this with some paper clips and keep it on my desk. :)
Just in case this gave you some inspiration, be sure to check out Little Yellow Bicycle's "Show Us Your Natural Talent" contest going on now through March 17th. :)
