3 pounds of apples, peeled and sliced (I usually use a mix of varieties)
scant 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 t. cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in a large glass bowl. Cover with waxed paper.
Microwave on high for 8-11 minutes or until apples are soft. Stir.
Mash apples (I use a potato masher) until slightly chunky.
Makes 5 1/2 cups.
